I'm just wondering but has anybody ever analyzed the lyrics of the songs? For example, autobiographical references?

Hi Hippie and starfairy,
I haven't personally analyzed any of the songs, but Michelle Phillips has said in numerous interviews over the years, that many of the songs dealt with the goings on of the group. Based on what I've read, I would say a mjority of the songs are autobiographical. For example, California Dreaming, I saw her Again..., String Man, No Salt On her Tail, Creeque Alley all in my humble opinon have autobiographical elements to them.
