Jamme review

Postby Nicole » Wed Jul 21, 2010 7:01 am

Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd post my thoughts on Jamme. I really like this record. I think it's an interesting piece of Mamas and Papas/John Phillips history. At times, the vocals are similar to the group. My favorite songs so far are Strewberry Jam Man, She Sits There, Jan, Poor Widow, and Thanks to the Man in the Rabbit Hat. It's too bad on its initial release that it was overlooked. Perhaps now, with this release on cd it will be re-evaluated. Looking forward to the next release in the Papa John Phillips presents series!
Take care,
Nicole

I just got it in the mail today, haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. Any ideas on what the next release will be? They seem to mostly be going chronologically, so maybe the 1992 sessions?

Hi John and Dark Horse,
Thanks for your response to my post, definitley 'right on'. Unfortunately, I don't know what the next planned release is in the Papa John Phillips presents series. Sorry I couldn't be of more help in answering your question.
Take care,
