Posted: Sat Sep 01, 2012 3:12 pmI was sad to hear Scott had no surviving family. I hope the M&P extended family was there for him as he was there for them. I will never forget the emotion in my Dad's voice when he mentioned how much San Francisco meant to him and the other veterans serving in Vietnam. I'll always be partial to the best rendition of 500 miles ever led by Scott's vocals.

Appropriately, the backing vocals by Michelle Phillips, Terry Melcher, and co-producer Bill Cleary are delivered in a fake British accent. (From Jack of Diamonds)
